Summary
Position Summary
- Oversees the operational and compliance aspects for Physician Services Point of Care testing under the guidance and direction of the Laboratory Director.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Knowledge of clinical laboratory functions, practices and procedures acquired through a Master’s degree, Baccalaureate degree or Associates degree in a Health Science.
- License/Certifications: Certification by a recognized professional organization (ASCP, NCA) is preferred.
- Experience: In-Depth knowledge of CAP and CLIA regulatory requirements is necessary.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Hospital Information and Laboratory Information systems.
- Ability to build tests, troubleshoot, train and write procedures preferred.
- Excellent communication and training skills are required.
- Must be able to meet facility defined minimum requirements.
- Must be able to work any shift, holiday and/or weekend.
- Must be able to travel among company sites.
