Department Overview
The New Vehicle Sales department focuses on data-driven approaches to business development, short- and long-term planning, operational execution partnered with Dealer Network, and measurement of programs through sales effectiveness.
Overview and Responsibilities
The Junior Associate Consultant (JAC) will focus on strategic organizational design, sales effectiveness, and process mapping for optimization across Sales & Marketing. As an integral part of the Sales Ops team, the JAC will manage and execute project plans from conception through completion, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope. They will be familiar with all key sales metrics, conduct data analyses, and perform competitor research to derive recommendations that enhance the Mercedes-Benz Retail Sales pace for both core and niche products. He or she will actively collaborate with various stakeholders, such as Finance & Controlling, Product Management, and Marketing, ensuring Mercedes-Benz maintains its position as a key player in the US automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Conducting data analysis on key sales metrics, including vehicle run rates, dealer stock, retail planning, and profitability measures and derive actionable recommendations to achieve MBUSA’s sales plan.
- Preparing for alignment meetings with key stakeholders by gathering and organizing critical information and documentation.
- Tracking and sharing valuable industry insights while contributing innovative ideas to drive Mercedes-Benz’s strategic edge.
- Supporting strategic organizational design initiatives to align Sales & Marketing structures with business objectives.
- Driving sales effectiveness by identifying and implementing best practices that improve sales operations and team performance.
- Mapping and optimizing processes across Sales & Marketing to increase efficiency and support sales growth objectives.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate student with international business experience.
- Preferred fields of study: Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, or Marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to provide accurate data and reports under tight time constraints required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Analytical and critical mindset with attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a flexible, hands-on mentality.
- Strong problem formulation, problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- In-person schedule, up to 28 hours maximum
