Our Education team offers consulting services and technology solutions to help schools, school districts, and state education agencies/ministries of education promote student success, improve programs and processes, and optimize financial resources.
Position Overview
The Senior Consultant will take a client-centric view and apply a consultative approach to understanding and solving complex problems faced by state and local education agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of strategies that expand PCG’s impact on teaching and learning across the New Jersey and New York region.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner to state and local agency clients, applying a consultative approach to problem-solving.
- Help clients devise forward-looking visions and strategic plans.
- Build and maintain strong professional networks within the education sector.
- Understand and serve as an expert in complex federal regulations.
- Manage complex projects with limited supervision.
- Develop and lead effective communication plans with client agencies.
- Identify and elicit requirements from key stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on federal funding and service provision.
- Develop and execute new growth strategies.
- Identify new sales opportunities and follow up on leads.
- Plan and monitor ongoing project tasks.
- Delegate tasks to team members.
- Assess best practices and provide technical assistance to clients.
- Lead proposal writing teams and prepare submissions.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff members.
- Manage daily project functions and client interactions.
Required Skills
- Deep knowledge of K-12 public school systems in New Jersey and/or New York.
- Ability to engage and develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong quantitative skills for data analysis.
- Able to research and interpret policy and regulations.
- Independent and results-oriented.
- Effective team collaboration skills.
- Outstanding oral and written presentation skills.
- Demonstrated initiative in creating new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 10 years’ experience required; graduate degree preferred. 5-10 years’ relevant work experience.

Working Conditions
Remote - NJ or NY. Some travel required for client meetings.
Compensation
$80,000-$125,000, plus a range of benefits including medical, dental, 401k, PTO, and parental leave.
