LEARNING DISABILITIES TEACHER CONSULTANT (LDTC) – JERSEY CITY SCHOOLS
The Northern Region Educational Services Commission (NRESC), located in Passaic County, has an opening for a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) for the Jersey City Schools on an as needed basis for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Certifications:
Qualifications:
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Criminal History background check.
- Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Responsibilities:
- Experience preferred both as a Teacher and Learning Disabled Teacher Consultant (LDTC).
- Responsibilities include evaluations and case management that meets the need of individual students in keeping with the educational goals, objectives and curriculum.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing with students, staff, parents, and community while adhering to confidentiality guidelines at all times.
- Familiarity with Google Applications (slides, sheets, docs and drive).
- Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities.
- Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.
Salary Range: As per negotiated contract and commensurate with experience.
