CENSEO AV+Acoustics is an acoustical engineering, audiovisual, theatre, and technology design consulting firm founded in 2012, with headquarters in Kailua, Hawaii and mainland locations in Denver, Colorado and Seattle, Washington. As our firm expands and grows, we seek the ideal candidate to join our team of engineers. We are currently seeking a Staff Acoustical Consultant in our office located in Kailua, Hawaii. The new team member will support our engineering staff on a diverse range of projects including civic, commercial, educational, government, healthcare, military, performing arts, residential, resorts and hotels, worship spaces, and others.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to acoustical design projects involving room acoustics, sound isolation, environmental noise control, HVAC noise & vibration control.
- Assist with collection and analysis of acoustic, noise, and vibration data.
- Assist with the preparation of calculations, design drawings, reports, and system specifications.
- Follow CENSEO’s protocol and quality standards.
- Commit to working knowledge and small business growth.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Passion for acoustics, applied to building and construction.
- 0-3 years of experience in a consulting environment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, acoustics, or a closely related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Task management experience.
- Understanding of acoustic standards, measurement practices, software, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, CadnaA, EASE, other sound modeling software, and Microsoft Suite.
- Detail oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced team environment.
- Desire to contribute to and grow with our CENSEO team.
- Passion for acoustics, building/construction, and design as well as enthusiasm for AV, theatrical, and other building-integrated technology systems.
