This vacancy is located at the Maui Community Correctional Center in Wailuku, Maui.
Salary: $3,220 to $4,078 per month (SR-09, Step C to I)
Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
Performs detailed routines of limited complexity pertinent to processing of human resources actions which are typically: (a) assigned on a continuing basis; and (b) are covered by well-established guidelines, procedures, and/or instructions which provide a fairly specific basis for taking action; and performs other related duties as assigned.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
General Experience: One year of progressively responsible general office clerical experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of experience in an office where the work required the knowledge and application of pertinent human resources rules, regulations, procedures, and program requirements.

Other Requirements: Applicants who are conditionally offered employment or conditionally approved for movement into positions with the Department of Public Safety shall be subject to drug screening, as required by Federal, State, or local law or departmental policy; and will be subject to an intensive background check. The examination for this recruitment will be conducted on an unassembled basis where the examination score is based on an evaluation and rating of your education and experience.
