Senior Aviation Business Consultant (Remote)

Job Summary
Responsible for identifying, generating, promoting, and sustaining aviation commercial business relationships for Landrum & Brown. Serves as a project manager through daily administration of project staff, workload, budget, schedule, and client deliverables to ensure effective utilization and client satisfaction. Supports Landrum & Brown's growth strategy through hiring, mentoring, developing, training and managing staff. Responsibilities include marketing development, promoting industry eminence, establishing and maintaining client relationships, responding to RFPs, and leading project sales and management.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Interacts with senior management at aviation clients to understand client strategy and needs to identify best practices and develop creative solutions.
- Assists aviation clients with tenant lease negotiations, strategy and business deal development, and advice.
- Defines client issues and translates them into practical goals for the business.
- Develops, maintains, and nurtures relationships within the airport staff.
- Establishes trust and rapport by responding with urgency, integrity and pragmatism to client needs, while being cognizant of budget and scope.
- Ideal candidate would have previous experience in commercial/properties management at an airport or other aviation company.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of work experience in airport commercial/properties management, aviation business, or aviation consulting environment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aviation management, business, commercial development, or related fields.
- Previous experience developing and negotiating airport terminal concession contracts, airport rental car concession contracts, parking management contracts, airline use and lease agreements, fixed base operator contracts, and other aviation business contracts.
- Previous experience in developing airport request for proposals and other procurement solicitations for airport business needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Proficiency in airport lease management software would be an asset.
Additional Information
Travel Expectations:
May spend about 25% of time on business-related travel annually, as required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Hours are somewhat flexible, and some late evenings may be required.
