Job Description:
Provides leadership to overall corporate business continuity / disaster recovery program. Surfaces issues affecting corporate recoverability and ensures resolution. Facilitates cross-functional activities, initiatives and discussion groups to strategize contingency plans. Extensively collaborates with all domestic and regional partners. Works with project teams to facilitate and execute the scope and deliverables, especially any MRA-related initiatives. Serves as spokesperson with other technology or business groups and primary contact with key Lines of Business executives supported. Exercises independent judgment in directing staff to achieve results. Demonstrate broad and deep business and/or technical acumen to recommend and implement solutions that protect the banks assets. Act as lead contributor or project manager for business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities (plan development, testing, event management and progress reporting/measurement). Provide business continuity subject matter consulting support in audit and regulatory matters, as needed. Is clearly recognized as a subject matter expert by peers. Works with project teams to improve the corporate business continuity program.

This job is responsible for promoting business continuity, crisis management, and/or operational resilience and facilitating cross-functional collaboration and decision making related to business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities. Key responsibilities include working with teams to facilitate and execute deliverables related to business continuity planning, testing, incident management, progress reporting, and audit/regulatory issues. Job expectations include providing business continuity subject matter expertise and/or crisis management support. This role provides direct engagement with senior leadership within the organization and across the enterprise, providing executive visibility and opportunity for career progression. As a member of the Crisis Management Planning team you will participate in the development, implementation and sustainment of service level restoral plans and major effects plans related to the Operational Resiliency program.
Within the Global Operational Resiliency organization, this role will provide coordination, consultation and thought leadership on the ongoing execution and maturity of the service level restoral planning program. As part of the service level restoral program execution, this role will provide coordination across senior executives within the Line of Business, Operations, Technology, Data, Risk and various teams within the organization to ensure alignment with business requirements and regulatory expectations. This would include but not be limited to Service Scoping, Setting Impact Tolerances, development of Business Resumption planning, managing metrics, documenting interdependencies, and identifying/mitigating risks & issues, as well as ensuring understanding of how the Technical restoral elements will support the overall Service Restoral Plan delivery. These plans are developed to support the restoral of a critical service that may be impacted by a severe but plausible event.
This role is part of the Crisis Management Planning team and is responsible for driving the development, coordination and production of service level restoral plans to promote and ensure enterprise resiliency during crisis events. This requires a strong working knowledge of business continuity, operational resiliency and associated plan governance. This associate will focus on the governance, compliance, audit and risk aspects of Service Restoral Plans by working horizontally and vertically across multiple lines of business, control functions and supporting organizations. This position will serve as a liaison between the groups identified above and ensure expected deliverables are achieved within the established timelines. This associate will lead enterprise wide, cross functional working groups and requires strong individual contributor leadership.

Required Qualifications:
- BA / BS in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems, Communications and/or related field or equivalent work-related experience
- 5 – 7+ years of experience in strategic business continuity planning, communications and/or information technology resilience or comparable experience within the LOB, Operations, Technology or Data teams.
- Thought leadership and strong communications skills (written and oral) in support of plan development, facilitation skills, and development and delivery of executive presentations
- Results oriented, independently driven, self-motivator
- Ability to drive work across a multi-vertical organizational environment, learn and adapt quickly
- Organizational level program / project management and associated governance experience
- Ability to easily digest and translate laws, rules and regulations into required program enhancements
- Establish and drive collaborative team environment and has ability to establish and grow strong relationships across the enterprise
- Strategic, critical thinker - ability to translate high level goals into executable objectives
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the International Payments, GWIM, Global Markets, and/or Consumer/Global Banking (CCV, Credit/Debit, Check, ATM, FC)
- Banking / financial industry experience
- Working knowledge of business continuity practices / all hazards planning and risk management
- Experience with business controls, governance, process design, risk identification and mitigation
- Experience in large scale strategic planning and operations
- Process design and improvement
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
