Job Title: Senior Director, IT Application Modernization Solutions
Job Summary
As the Sr. Director, IT Application Modernization Solutions, you’ll work with McKesson senior executives across the business to enhance and support the Generics landscape. This role will guide the development of McKesson’s Generics business strategy, manage a portfolio of transformation initiatives, and direct enterprise communications and change management necessary to implement the new business operating model. This role will also manage the day-to-day operations and periodically conduct assessments of future needs and opportunities, as well as challenges faced by the organization and meet SLA.
This role serves as the primary contact to deliver applications and integrations to the Generics business unit. This individual will maintain a portfolio of strategic initiatives across the enterprise, develop customer applications as needed, and integrations to ERP systems and recommend portfolio changes to maximize the return on investment.
This role requires significant work across a federated organization and the development and application of governance processes, portfolio management, and change management. This position ensures alignment of business initiatives and operational excellence with best practices in cloud-native development with the agile delivery method.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish strong relationships across both business and IT leadership; engage and align key stakeholders; establish cadence and agenda for key leadership meetings.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with third parties, centers of excellence, and owners of various information systems to resolve complex issues and improve service delivery.
- Provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems, using judgement within defined policies, laws, programs, and practices.
- Manage escalations/appeals from clients in a timely and professional manner while reinforcing company culture/policies and controlling McKesson's risk of non-compliance/lawsuit.
- Stay informed of market best practices and applicable laws.
- Ensure documentation of processes and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of 15+ years of professional experience in IT application transformation and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills.
Critical Skills:
- 15+ years of Application Development and System Development Life Cycle.
- Successfully led the transformation of applications to align with modern technological standards, utilizing a technology stack that includes Java, microservices, SOAP, REST, React/Angular with Azure/AWS/GCP, or .Net, WebAPI, React/Angular with AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Experience in design thinking and can apply it to support problem solving and development of learning solutions.
- Prior experience managing direct reports required.
- Prior experience managing vendors to their timelines and budgets.
- Review SOWs, estimations, and handle the IT delivery timeline.
- Excellent skills in organization and detail-orientation.
- Knowledge and experience in complex/technical project management and continuous improvement in an automation-driven environment.
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office suite of products.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

$177,200 - $295,400
