Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure the pre-employment process is performed in accordance with company policy, including generating background checks, monitoring drug screens, and acting as a liaison between candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.
Track candidates throughout hiring processes and ensure excellent candidate experience throughout the lifecycle of employee onboarding.
Conduct and assist with employee onboarding and new hire orientation.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; will refer more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Maintain integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records, compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
Assist with HR functions including maintaining accurate and up-to-date files, records, and documentation.
Manage the random drug screen program and ensure all random drug screens are completed timely.
Provide necessary reporting and updates.
Perform any other duties Kodiak may reasonably require of you.
Education, Experience, & Training
1 – 2 years’ experience in a human resources position.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform written and verbal communication in the English language required.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and business systems.
Knowledge and previous experience using Workday HCM is preferred.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Ability to travel up to 25% in-state and out-of-state required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software required.
