A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE/PARTS ADVISOR
As an Automotive Service Advisor, you are the crucial link between our customers and our technicians. When clients come into the shop, you greet them and determine what issues they are experiencing with their vehicle. Based on each customer's needs, you make service recommendations and help them determine which repair options are best for their vehicle. Throughout the process, you clearly communicate mechanical issues in terms the customer can understand. Once they've decided on a plan, you write the repair order and communicate the required work to the technician who will be taking care of the customer's car.
You understand that building great relationships is just as important as selling our services, so your top priority is customer satisfaction. In addition to communicating with guests, you help the repair process run smoothly by scheduling appointments efficiently and sourcing aftermarket parts so that we always have what we need to get the job done. Your satisfaction comes from working with an excellent team and getting customers safely back on the road!
As an Auto Parts Advisor, you support our service department by finding the highest quality parts at the best prices. You establish and maintain great relationships with external vendors, ensuring that we always receive prompt service when we urgently need a part. Communicating frequently with our service advisors and technicians, you order parts proactively and guarantee that we always have what we need for every vehicle repair and reconditioning job. As the market fluctuates, you update our internal software systems with current pricing and delivery information. You also provide parts for retail customers.
In addition to ordering parts, you track vehicles through the reconditioning process, using the DealerTrack DMS software system to keep detailed records of the progress of each vehicle we work on. Constantly communicating between our external vendors, internal technicians, and customers, you help everyone stay on the same page and ensure that we are consistently delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines. Your satisfaction comes from working with a great team and getting customers safely back on the road or into their next car!
