The opportunity
Our PAS Mobility practice provides services to manage the cost and risks involved in HR plans, programs and systems related to a global workforce. We advise the part of business strategy related to people. As a Tax Manager, you'll be providing strategic tax planning recommendations to clients, working with global clients to address their most complex people challenges, and ultimately improve and drive sustainable business results.
Your key responsibilities
- Provide individual tax planning, compliance services and advice on tax implications related to the mobility of employees as well as corporate and employment tax planning.
- Engage in complex compliance and advisory work; work with colleagues globally, complete tax returns, review/sign off, write correspondence, provide authoritative advice/guidance, and review tax cost estimates.
- Directly engage clients, question and negotiate to provide results.
Key attributes for success
- Successful delivery of Mobility (Expatriate) Tax projects: technical excellence and practical/business driven approach to solving complex client challenges.
- Provide quality US tax returns and overseas tax filings; prepare/review calculations (international tax cost projections, equalization and hypothetical tax).
- Generate revenue through identifying follow-on engagement opportunities and developing lasting relationships with clients.
- Lead workstreams from planning to implementation, managing resources and budgets effectively.
- Develop understanding of expatriate tax issues, trends and tools.
- Manage, coach, and develop junior resources and peers.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor's degree in related field; MST, MAcc or JD/LLM preferred.
- 5+ years relevant experience in expatriate tax.
- US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership.
- An understanding of automated tax-processing systems, as well as tax laws.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical approach to tax.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $99,900 to $183,200. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
