Claims Consultant- Commercial Lines-Hybrid
Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Claims Consultant to join our growing team in Phoenix, Arizona.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and carriers through phone calls, personal meetings, seminars, etc.
- Work with an assigned book of customers to provide clarity on coverage matters.
- Report losses to appropriate carriers.
- Communicate with customers and adjusters pertaining to the handling of the claim.
- Monitor the status of open claims.
- Prepare loss reports and identify loss trends for customers, Customer Account Managers, Claims Consultants, and all others relevant to the claim/customer.
- Advocate for the customer during the claims process.
- Assist with the collection of denied claims from carriers to customers.
- Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills and licensing requirements.
- Conduct an appropriate level of confidentiality of the information processed.
- Duties are done independently or in a team environment.
- Other duties or special projects may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Property & Casualty Adjusters License, Preferred
- 1 – 3 years experience in Claims handling/reporting experience
- Basic knowledge and understanding of property & casualty coverage, current legislation, rules, laws, and other regulations.
- Proficient with MS Office, Excel & Access
- Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
