Job Title: Operations Consultant
The Operations Consultant provides ongoing administrative, process improvement, and project management support to dental office operations and the pursuit of optimal practice management and care delivery processes. Serves as a technical and procedural knowledge resource to the PDA Clinical Operations Team, including Area Dental Directors, Providers in Charge, and Specialty Chiefs, as needed.
Position Details:
This is a hybrid position (both remote and in-person). Requires regular onsite in-person presence in Portland, OR.
Education/Experience
Required: HS diploma and 3+ years’ experience in a dental operations role.
Preferred: AA degree in business, Project Management, or a closely related field. Experience working in a dental office in a clinical or administrative capacity. Project management and process improvement experience.
Job-related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required: Excellent phone skills, note taking, ability to set up and maintain filing systems, meeting, travel and event coordination skills and knowledge. Strong MS Office suite, solid presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to problem solve in a customer service manner. Ability to work with and maintain confidential information. Demonstrated proficiency of data entry, coordination of multiple projects, ability to organize and report data in useful formats, plan/prepare meeting materials, calendaring, etc. Work with minimal supervisory oversight, independently, and as part of a small team. Ability to track and audit work. Display willingness to make timely decisions within scope of responsibilities; exhibit sound and accurate judgment, including appropriate stakeholders, and support and explain reasoning for decisions.
Preferred: Dental terminology. Epic Electronic Health Records. Experience with Project Management and Process Improvement software (MS Project, Visio, etc.).
Salary Range and Benefit Summary: $60,000-$70,000. In addition to the base salary, hired applicant will receive quarterly bonuses and an annual incentive compensation payment. Operations Consultants (and their dependents) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, vision, alternative care, supplemental medical and life insurance. Additionally, employees are covered by AD&D coverage, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and are able to enroll in PDA's 401(k) plan, with a generous employer 401(k) contribution. In addition to 8 paid holidays, employees can accrue over 10 hours of PTO each month to cover various absences such as personal time, vacation, illness, and more.
