KJ is seeking a dedicated Utility Management Consultant to contribute and expand our management consulting practice. As a Utility Management Consultant, you will play a crucial role in solutioning and driving Utility Management services for our clients across the United States.
Key Responsibilities: - Operational & Maintenance Improvement Initiatives: Support the identification and improvement of workflow processes, utility operations, data processing, and other business functions within a utility.
- Asset Inventory and Performance Monitoring: Review as-built drawings and perform field inspections to develop asset inventories. Develop and perform asset condition and risk assessments. Support the development of reporting tools to illustrate results.
- Reliability Analysis and Improvement: Participate in the analysis of equipment and systems to identify failure patterns and root causes. Support the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the reliability and performance of utility assets, reducing downtime and maintenance.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Support the development of data and tools that analyze the performance of water and wastewater systems using key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare detailed reports on operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Asset Management Plans: Participate in the production of strategic, tactical, and operational asset management plans using industry standard methods and practices.
- Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Analytics: Support the development of preventive maintenance programs and utilize predictive analytics tools to forecast potential equipment failures. Ensure timely interventions to prevent unexpected breakdowns and optimize asset lifecycle management.
- Data Management and Analysis: Perform analyses on large utility datasets from systems such as GIS, CMMS, SCADA, Customer Information System, financial information system, and hydraulic modeling datasets.
- Client Collaboration: Actively engage with clients to explore and identify management consulting opportunities.
Requirements: - Highly motivated, willingness to learn and innovate, and the desire to grow in your career.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MS/MBA preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in infrastructure asset management, utility management, and/or data management/digital transformation strategies, particularly on water sector projects.
- Familiarity with data governance control.
- Support of local and national management consulting projects.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
