Location: Milwaukee County, WI, Waukesha County, WI or Dane County, WI
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for building and managing a sales territory. This will be done by a combination of prospecting, penetration, and account management. As part of this, the Outside Sales Rep must have prior sales experience within the foodservice industry and must be able to travel regularly to meet with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate new customers and business opportunities, while also maintaining established relationships with existing customers.
- Negotiate with customers using a combination of product, industry, and competitive knowledge.
- Provide customers with a consultative experience, sharing information about products and the industry, as well as offering ideas to enhance their operation.
- Develop a margin improvement strategy for overall territory.
- Provide timely and accurate quotations, with regular follow-up.
- Build and maintain a well-developed business – customers, orders, pipeline.
- Meet and/or exceed revenue and margin budget annually.
- Provide an excellent level of Customer Service to both internal and external customers.
- Investigate customer issues and solve routine industry problems on site.
- Communicate confidently, articulately, and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Sales, Business, or Marketing).
- Prior sales experience, specifically in the Foodservice Supply Industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, HubSpot, AutoQuotes, SAP a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter who takes initiative.
- Must be able to travel to meet with customers.
- Must be able to travel to the corporate office in Pewaukee once monthly.
