What You'll Be Doing:
Our Torq Insights practice is seeking talented individuals to join as key contributors, specializing as a Consultant, focusing on Cloud Engineering (Dev Ops). Through this role, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects focusing on the pipelining and infrastructure of our client's growing cloud environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our CI/CD pipelines and monitoring our infrastructure, ensuring it is always operational. You will use your knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure to promote proper engineering practice, automation strategy, and other advanced concepts across products.
- Design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge solutions through writing maintainable, extensible, and tested code, adhering to coding standards.
- Act as a technical Product Owner (PO), emphasizing technical acumen and deep understanding of the product and its development.
- Facilitate end-to-end user testing and collaboration with key customers, collaborating closely with product owners to shape and deliver customer features.
- Develop and maintain applications using Docker containers, Kubernetes, or full VMs, implementing Kubernetes for efficient container orchestration.
- Manage source control and branching strategy to ensure a streamlined development process.
- Oversee networking, cloud storage, and compute resources for optimal system performance.
- Handle Secrets Management to maintain the security and integrity of sensitive information.
- Utilize AWS Quicksight as a Business Intelligence (BI) tool for data analysis and reporting.
- Examine, monitor and prevent accidental overspend through insights and tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, etc.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, where the candidate will be required to work 2-3 days in the office each week.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline.
- 4+ years of production experience as a Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer, and/or DevOps Engineer.
- Experience managing, leading, and coaching engineering teams with positive results.
- Deep experience in public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Extensive understanding of CI/CD practices, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Bonus Skills (not required but a plus!):
- Coding experience in Python and/or Go.
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, Datadog, and API Management.
