Junior Financial Advisor
We are looking to hire a passionate Junior Financial Advisor to join the team. This introductory level position in Investment Services will involve helping investment champions in the offices as well as assisting with IRA and investment questions in the MSC and retail offices. The Junior Financial Advisor will also support the Senior Program Coordinator and Representatives as needed, and will eventually service clients with assets under $25K. This role aims to expand the overall penetration and participation levels of the current investment services program while ensuring quality service to existing members/clients. It is a development position with a three to five-year timeline goal to move into the standard office representative role.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting members with general investment options.
- Cross-selling credit union products and services and acting upon referral opportunities to maintain a ratio consistent with goals.
- Demonstrating knowledge of all Consumers products and services.
- Successfully testing and maintaining: Series 7, Series 66, Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Licenses, and state-specific securities and investment licenses.
- Maintaining all files and records to meet compliance requirements and standards.
- Becoming knowledgeable with IRA accounts.
- Developing an understanding of Credit Union rules, regulations, philosophy, organization by-laws, and operating procedures.
- Gaining knowledge and training with a wide range of investment products.
- Assisting in any area as directed by your supervisor.
What you'll bring to the table:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business (or equivalent work experience).
- Successfully completing: Series 7, Series 66, Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Licenses, and state-specific securities and investment licenses.
