About the Job:
We are looking for an innovative Growth Marketer to drive growth by reaching new audiences to create brand awareness, first party relationships, and paid subscriptions. The ideal candidate will efficiently scale digital advertising and maximize consumer response through rigorous test-and-learn discipline.
You are an experienced and resourceful growth marketer familiar with expanding your audience by growing existing channels and expanding to new ones. You understand what makes your audience tick and how to use digital marketing to create a connection. You thrive in a culture of test-and-learn, and you love creating impactful ad copy just as much as finding actionable insights in a campaign report.
Based in Baltimore, MD, you will collaborate with members of the marketing team, as well as cross functional leaders, to grow our footprint in Baltimore and the surrounding counties, raising awareness of The Baltimore Banner and our coverage of local news, sports, food, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Identify paid digital platform expansion opportunities by evaluating various platforms’ capabilities.
- Grow target audience by expanding digital advertising to new platforms and channels.
- Expand existing display and paid social channels to new audiences and content areas.
- Grow paid search traffic and high value actions through audience segmentation, keyword expansion, and creation and testing of ad copy and ad extensions.
- Monitor and maximize audience quality across all digital channels.
- Identify opportunities to improve creative executions to drive stronger consumer response from target audiences.
- Manage multiple digital advertising platforms daily, e.g., budget pacing, building new campaigns, and so forth.
- Improve response rates by identifying and implementing opportunities for A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
- Build and manage customer segments, listeners, and lifecycles within customer data platform.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in media or marketing.
- 3-5 years of digital marketing experience, ideally in an agency environment.
- Comprehensive experience with direct marketing channels, including paid social, paid search, digital display, and affiliates.
- Proven record of scaling digital media campaigns through channel diversification.
- A creative and inventive individual.
- Initiative-taking collaborator with strong communication skills.
