Job Purpose:
The Reds Sales Development Program is committed to creating the future leaders of the industry during their 8-month program with the Organization. As a part of this program, our Sales Consultants will get invaluable experience working alongside full-time staff members and department leaders with the continual goal of maximizing Pride in Reds baseball and driving revenue. Our team values and rewards hard work, accountability, collaboration, and adaptability over all else. We designed this department with the goals of generating revenue and being a top-tier training program to give participants the best opportunity possible to attain a full-time position in sports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking individuals who are passionate and motivated about learning the sports business. Qualified candidates should be collaborative, adaptable, and accountable.
Non-Game Days:
- Gain knowledge in all aspects of the Reds ticketing business while assisting in multiple departments including Premium, Group, Single Game and Membership. While working in the office, you will learn alongside the Reds staff and help in a variety of roles. The main objectives of the position are to:
- Retain, grow, and acquire ticket sales
- Meet a daily and weekly minimum of outbound new business calls, renewal calls, & appointments
- Assist in handling inbound calls, addressing customer issues and giving top level service
- Meet/exceed individual ticket and revenue sales goals
- Prospect new leads to bring in additional revenue to the organization
- Input information into CRM system to help manage/track book of business
- Participate in weekly training and development sessions to sharpen skills throughout the year
- Establish rapport and build relationships with current and potential clients
Game Days:
- Provide Reds Way service to our customers while they are here to have fun. While working games, you will gain experience in a variety of operational, customer service and sales roles.
- Adhere to Cincinnati Reds organization policies and procedures
- Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds organization
- Ability to work 40 hours per week from Feb 1st to the end of the regular baseball season, including home games that occur on nights, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Currently pursuing, or have achieved, an undergraduate or graduate degree in Sports Management, Business, or related field preferred
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet applications

- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; however, employee will have “game-day” responsibilities where the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
- Hours will include nights, weekends and holidays.
