Oracle Senior Employment Practices Consultant - Hartford, Connecticut
Are you a skilled and experienced investigator who can objectively, thoroughly, and compassionately investigate sensitive employee relations concerns?
Oracle Human Resources has an opening for a bilingual Sr. Employment Practices Consultant who will support both US and Latin America matters! We are looking for an employee relations expert who will conduct a broad spectrum of workplace investigations and work on and/or lead initiatives related to employee relations.

The ideal candidate has high emotional intelligence and a background in investigating a wide variety of employment and employee relations matters and is an effective interviewer and strong communicator.
In this role, you will review and analyze complex cases and situations to determine and provide the appropriate recommendations. In addition, you will be responsible for work environment reviews, conflict resolution, mediation, and training on the corrective action process as applicable.
You will also provide coaching and guidance to employees and leaders at all levels including executives related to concerns that have been raised.
Candidate Profile:
- 8 or more years of experience performing duties similar to those outlined above; with advanced proficiency in conducting workplace investigations.
- Advanced knowledge of employment laws and regulations pertaining to employment.
- Experience partnering with legal resources to resolve complex and sensitive employee relations issues.
- Demonstrated problem solving and judgment skills with the ability to provide high quality independent analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a complex fast-paced environment.
- Discreetly handle sensitive and/or private information.
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team.
- Experience preparing and delivering information in a concise, professionally written format.
- Excellent communications skills; specifically, diplomacy and patience when communicating with others and diffusing difficult situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills; especially, verbal communication, listening and problem solving.
- Ability to advise and train HR colleagues on investigation standard processes and employee relations matters.
- Able to cultivate strong working relationships with internal/external partners based on a high level of collaboration and inclusion.
- Support a fair and inclusive work environment that safeguards the company’s employment brand by ensuring that employee and company interests are handled in a consistent manner.
- Experience working in a large global corporation is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.
- Able to travel as required.
Position Location: Will consider candidates based in major US cities in the Eastern Time zone. Relocation is not offered with this position.

Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a role that focuses on workplace investigations, employment relations or an equivalent HR role.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 5 or more years of experience conducting workplace investigations. Experience working with executives and key business stakeholders. Ability to conduct complex and high-quality workplace investigations. Advanced knowledge of country-specific laws and regulations pertaining to employment. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only:
US: Hiring Range: from $87,000 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
