We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant/Business Analyst. This hybrid position requires us to travel to Huntsville, TX, at least two or three times a month. It also requires us to be on our W2; for this 12-year-long contract, we cannot work with C2Cs. (Please no calls or emails)
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We seek an experienced business consultant to lead, guide, and provide expertise in business analysis best practices for our Technology Systems (CITS) project. This role will help identify opportunities for process improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and foster collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders. You must be willing to travel to Huntsville at least twice or three times a month.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership in implementing governance frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the business analyst function, driving continuous enhancement and innovation.
- Implement best practices and standards to streamline processes and deliverables.
- Possess a solid understanding of technical concepts and methodologies, with the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
- Excellent communicator, translating needs, demands, and requirements into easily understandable thoughts and ideas.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and mentor a team.
Job Duties
- Devise an approach to solving complex problems.
- Manage conflicting stakeholder expectations.
- Manage project scope.
- Refocus efforts as issues/problems dynamically change in the Customer environment.
- Design and conduct workshops.
- Identify the appropriate approach, tools, and methodologies to analyze and draw conclusions.
- Full leadership for managing delegated end-to-end creation of project deliverables.
- Help the team to develop new insights from the analysis.
- Prioritize the recommendations based on ease of implementation and impact.
- Provide ongoing updates to Customers on engagement status.
- Solicit feedback on interim deliverables.
- Manage project escalations.
- Manage engagement financials - revenue and profitability.
- Provide subject matter expertise on a specific area within a domain/technology/service.
- Exhibit a high level of skills in data aggregation and analysis leading to developing value propositions in solution development.
Job Qualifications
- Six (6) to ten (10) years of management and Information technology consulting experience.
- Six (6) years experience as a Business Analyst.
- Expertise in identifying and defining problems, analysis, and developing recommendations.
- Experience with managing multiple work streams of a project.
- Extensive experience managing consulting engagements.
- Specialist in managing the engagement financials & operations.
- High level of ethics, judgment, communication, and people skills.
- Required to travel to Huntsville 2 - 3 times per month. Some of this travel may be an overnight stay and would be the contractor's responsibility.
- Any public sector experience is preferred.
