What you’ll do as a Human Resources Business Partner
- Provides guidance to and counsel management and/or associates on associate relations issues and company policies, practices and procedures to include, but not limited to, promotions, demotions, transfers, benefits/open enrollment, leave of absences, return to work programs, worker's compensation, performance evaluations, performance plans, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Creates an engaging quarterly newsletter, enhances and maintains the employee portal, and designs social media communications to enhance engagement.
- Works with internal departments and external contacts as appropriate to ensure effective administration of programs.
- Recommends HR process improvements and best practices.
- Conducts virtual employee orientations.
- Manages leave administration (FMLA, Worker’s Comp, Personal, Reasonable Accommodation) and manages benefits administration in conjunction with the parent company.
- Utilizes the applicant tracking system to maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment and applicant files and proper disposition of candidates.
- Screens candidates by phone to determine qualifications for the position.
- Administers pre-hire diligence, including background checks and drug screen status.
- Skillfully investigates employee relations concerns and maintains confidentiality in all matters.
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resource Management or business-related discipline.
- 5 plus years of exempt level HR experience in a multi-state, multi-unit environment with a significant non-exempt employee population.
- Strong preference for those with experience in managing a population of “off-site” employees.
- PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Ability to create warm and engaging employee communications and social media posts. Knowledge of the Comsite employee communication platform a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite. Through knowledge of Excel and can create bulk mail merge documents.
- Experience working in HRIS Systems (UKG, iCIMS, SAP a plus).
- Professional leadership presence, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of employees.
