Position Summary:
The med/surg pulmonary registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the intensive care unit. The registered nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for the highly vulnerable patients.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Current California R.N. license. Current American Heart Association BLS.
- Minimum Experience: Recent acute care experience.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.

- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
