Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses (RN) play a pivotal role within Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Medical Center. The ICU Nurses at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Round Rock care for both ICU patients and Intermediate Care (IMC) patients on this 26-bed mixed acuity unit with 6 dedicated CVICU beds. Typical ratios consist of 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:2 for general ICU patients, and 1:3 for IMC patients. Our ICU level patients consist of Medical ICU (MICU) and Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) patients. The ideal ICU RN would have at least one year of ICU RN experience, two years preferred.
Baylor Scott & White Round Rock hospital is equipped with 101 beds, a Level II Trauma Center, and Level IV Maternal Designation. This full-service hospital provides a wide network of medical expertise and resources and has an enhanced ability to care for patients. The medical center, adjacent specialty clinics, and freestanding cancer center provide a full range of personalized care in more than 40 specialties. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Round Rock has achieved Magnet recognition for its nursing professionalism, teamwork, and superiority in patient care.

Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
- Minimum one year of ICU RN experience, two years of ICU RN experience preferred.
- License/Certification
- RN - Registered Nurse
- BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
