We are seeking a motivated Staff Development & Infection Control Nurse to join our skilled nursing facility and ensure the highest standards of care and education.
Position:
- Full-Time opportunity
- Must have a valid RN or LPN license
Key Responsibilities:
- Infection Control: Develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures. Conduct routine audits and surveillance, educate staff on prevention techniques, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Educational Leadership: Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs. Lead the in-service educational program and set its goals and objectives.
- Staff Training & Orientation: Develop and direct orientation programs for all personnel in alignment with facility policies. Implement and maintain effective orientation and training programs that integrate staff into their roles smoothly.
- Administrative & Personnel Functions: Maintain records, reports, and instructional materials for training courses. Attend all required meetings and ensure occupational exposures are reported to the Director of Nursing. Maintain a calm, warm, and positive department atmosphere.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all department workstations are properly secured and that training classes are well-publicized, including make-ups, per facility policy.
