This position participates as a member of the Leadership Team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making to assure quality services. The Lab Manager assumes administrative and clinical responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory Department, and recommends and implements changes that would improve delivery of services.
Responsibilities:
- Assumes administrative responsibility for the functions of the Laboratory Department
- Works closely with Laboratory Medical Director to assure laboratory policies/procedures and testing remain in compliance
- Assist lab in maintaining compliance with CLIA regulations and guidelines
- Responsible for the operation, facilitation, and maintenance of the Laboratory Information System
- Oversees/assists supply ordering
- Oversees/assists patient billing
- Responsible for implementation of new laboratory policies and procedures
- Comply with local and national Medical Review Policies
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree Required, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Registered Medical Lab Technologist, Medical Technologist
- Two years or more experience in a hospital setting
- Management experience strongly preferred
- Current certification with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists
- Certified in BLS
- Child and Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter certification
