About Medefer
We work alongside the NHS to provide a virtual outpatient service and deliver better, faster care for patients. Our vision is to completely reframe the way that healthcare is delivered, because every patient deserves the best possible healthcare.
There really isn’t a much better purpose, and we can and do make a difference for patients every single day. People who are sick, worried, or in pain desperately want to have a doctor review their symptoms and get them on the path to health again, or even just put their mind at rest. Medefer makes that happen. WE make that happen. We’re unique in what we do, and we’re included in the NHS Increasing Capacity Framework, and we’re CQC regulated.
We are a ground-breaking healthcare company.
And we need exceptional people, like you.
About the role: Clinical Lead, ADHD
We’re looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to join our Medical Directorate and help us establish and grow our service. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge.
The Clinical Lead ADHD role is pivotal in leading the design, development and implementation of a comprehensive adult ADHD assessment, diagnosis and treatment service. This role will recruit, manage and mentor a team of clinicians, and provide expert clinical oversight for all aspects of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care.
The Clinical Lead ADHD role will be integral to the organisation's governance structures and will be a member of the Clinical Governance Committee, which is chaired by the Medical Director and reports to Medefer’s Board.
As a Clinical Lead and as part of a wider team, you will be involved in successfully networking with local clinicians and healthcare providers (both NHS and Private), implementing the new ADHD service and then performance monitoring it.
The role is remote working and equates to 1PA per week (4 hours), and the expectation is that the work will be done outside of your NHS working hours and any other work that you may do.
About You:
- You’ll be a Consultant Psychiatrist, with a minimum of 5 years in an NHS substantive post.
- Substantial clinical experience working in adult mental health, with a strong focus on ADHD assessment and management.
- Proven experience in leading and managing clinical services, with a track record of implementing efficient processes and workflows.
- Knowledge and experience with using digital health tools and technologies to improve clinical service delivery.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and regulatory requirements (e.g. CQC).
- Passionate about improving mental health care and delivering high-quality, patient-centred services.
Terms
- This is a permanent position being offered on a part-time basis.
- The role is remote working and the expectation is that the majority of the work will be done outside of the standard 9.00am to 5.00pm working day.
- The time commitment and payment equates to 1 PA per week (4 hours) but it is understood that this will be worked flexibly.
- It is acknowledged that Medefer is a growing organisation and that the time requirements for the role will likely increase. Through mutual discussion this might be met through extending the time commitment of the lead and/or recruiting deputies.
- Our benefits:
- Fully flexible and remote working opportunity.
- Equity options.
- Workplace pension scheme.
- 28 days annual leave in addition to the normal bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time hours).
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Health and wellbeing scheme that provides free access to a confidential phoneline, GP and counselling services.
- Career development and opportunities for progression and training.
