Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Clinician (physician assistant/nurse practitioner) role in the Division of Surgical Oncology, Colorectal surgery provides care to patients in a University Health Sciences/Huntsman Cancer Center clinic and hospital unit. Individual will provide care for patients with benign anorectal disease and colon and rectal malignancies. Responsibilities of this role are primarily outpatient and will include participating in preoperative and postoperative care and treating benign anorectal diseases in the outpatient setting. The Colorectal surgery team currently consists of 4 Attending Surgeons. Prior experience with colorectal surgery/gastroenterology preferred. Incredible health care and retirement benefits. Responsibilities
- Independent outpatient surgery clinic 4-5 days/week.
- Cover consultations from the emergency department or other hospital services.
- Respond to outpatient messages and telephone calls.
- Participate in continuing medical education to include specialty and sub-specialty meetings, clubs, boards, and conferences.
- Assist in the collection for research projects.
- Participate in special projects and committee functions including team meetings and education conferences.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Current licensure to practice as a Physician’s Assistant from the State of Utah.
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
- Certification in ACLS / BLS / NRP / ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
