Role: Development Manager
Location: WFH Flexible, Minneapolis, MN
Reports to: Executive Vice President

Compensation: Salary range: $85k-$110k, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health plan, 401(k) retirement plan, LTD, STD, life, vision, dental, FSA/HSA, paid time off, professional development allowance, and communication stipend.

THIS POSITION
The Development Manager will play a proactive and strategic role in managing, coordinating, and supporting GPI’s development and fundraising efforts. Responsibilities include prospecting, cultivating, and securing grants and donations, developing grant proposals, and coordinating with various teams for effective fundraising.
JOB DUTIES
The Development Manager will work on fundraising management, coordination, prospecting research, funder cultivation, stewardship, grant tracking, and reporting. Responsibilities also include coaching colleagues on fundraising best practices.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of fundraising/development experience
- Educational or professional background in clean energy and climate
- Excellent interpersonal, research, writing, and communication skills
- Proactive problem-solver with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Commitment to the vision, mission, and values of GPI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of fundraising prospecting research
- Experience in grant writing and corporate philanthropy
- Experience with fee-for-service revenue models and CRM software
