Shift: Variable, 7a-7:30p / 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36hrs per week, with holiday rotation, EOW
Length: 13 weeks
Alternating shifts 7pm-730am/7am-730pm depending on unit needs
Requirements:
- SC Multi-State/Compact license
- 2 years of PICU experience
- AHA BLS
- AHA PALS
- ECMO, CRRT experience preferred

- Total Staffed Beds: 820
- Charting: EPIC
- Ratios: 1:2/1:3 – mixed unit with ICU and Stepdown patients so ratios would be 1:3 for Stepdown
- Will Float
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required
- Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

UNIT DETAILS:
The Pediatric Intensive Care unit is a 28 bed unit providing intensive and intermediate care to children ages 0-18 from across the state of South Carolina. The unit cares for patients with a blend of medical and surgical diagnoses. Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to, respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative surgical patients requiring immediate intensive care support, and neurology/neurosurgery. In addition to ventilatory and cardiac support, the unit provides ECMO/CRRT, renal or peritoneal dialysis and additional complex supportive therapies. Pediatric Palliative care is available as needed. The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries with therapeutic supportive services such as Respiratory Therapy, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pediatric Pharmacist available as needed.
