Our pharmacists help with a wealth of different tasks, which require use of clinical knowledge and innovation. Under the direction of the Sr. Vice President of Clinical Services, the Clinical Pharmacist provides internal and external support to customers with a focus on quality, cost savings, and medication safety. The Clinical Pharmacist helps review and respond to clinical requests and supports clients by monitoring pharmacy benefits and trends.
Job Duties:
- Clinical Program Management and Support
- Conducts Drug Utilization Reviews to ensure they are appropriate and safe
- Clinical program analysis, informatics, and value/impact quantification
- Provide clinical support to internal and external customers including literature and study evaluation
- Attends client and sales presentations explaining clinical value, trends and industry changes
- Supports programs to identify and measure initiatives designed to achieve outcomes of improved health, reduced cost trend, and improved member experience.
- Clinical program support aimed at increasing early detection of disease and active disease models through clinical data including medical and pharmacy claims data
- On-site clinical support for clients and members
- Providing assistance to other department members with various projects
- On-call coverage approximately one week a quarter
- Additional duties and projects as assigned by the Sr. Vice President of Clinical Services
Skills/Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy/PharmD
- Strong Clinical Knowledge
- Analytical and account management skills
- Presentation skills, Strong writing and communication skills
- Experience with patient consultations
- Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Proficient in PC based software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Travel up to 30% of the time required (varies by week)
- Maintain valid driver’s license
- Must maintain an active pharmacy license in the state of Florida
