As a nurse working within the Multi Organizational Service Unit (MOSU) at our newest Banner Facility - Ocotillo Medical Center, you will be taking care of high acuity patients while also having the flexibility to admit lower acuity patients when required.
Banner Ocotillo Medical Center is a four-story, 240,000 square foot hospital with in-house Intensivist coverage 12 hours a day, ensuring 24/7 ICU coverage. You will work 3/12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18% night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential. $10,000.00 Sign-on Incentive for RNs with a minimum of 12 months ICU experience; requires a 1 year commitment.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Assesses patient needs and reviews available information.
- Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning.
- Implements the plan of care through direct patient care and coordination.
- Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and revises the plan as needed.
- Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record.
- Provides care based on the best evidence available and participates in research activities.
- Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes.
- Interacts with various stakeholders concerning patient health care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification is required. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification preferred.
