POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Construction Materials Laboratory Technician is responsible for laboratory work supporting the Material Testing and Special Inspection (MTSI) services department. Occasional fieldwork is also required. Primary focus will be soils and concrete sampling and laboratory testing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Lab testing, including concrete compression, required.
• Soil testing, including AL, gradation, and laboratory compaction.
• Deliver samples to laboratories as needed.
• Ability to perform field compaction testing and concrete tests a plus.
• Repair, maintain and purchase lab and field equipment as needed.
• Miscellaneous lab maintenance and clean-up.
• Submit, timely, all required documentation for lab testing and field dailies and timesheets.
• Moderate to high level of computer skills required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Graduate with applicable training and certifications.
• Some college or post high school education preferred.
• ACI Certifications.
• Nuclear Gauge Density certification a plus.
• Experience with laboratory certifications a plus.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES (Examples below)
• This position will require the ability to stand four to eight hours surfaces with appropriate rest and meal breaks.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), (Protective clothing, possibly a respirator, etc.).
• Ability to monitor a computer screen for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Ability to travel with current license and insurable driving record.
