About the Role
Speech Language Pathologists (SLP’s) are critical members of a child’s therapy team. They work one-on-one with patients to deliver individualized, team-focused treatment in natural settings, virtually or in-office. Our SLP’s are top-notch and inspire, motivate, and communicate efficiently with the patient’s entire care team, including family members and educators. Our goal is for every employee to feel part of our family and for every patient and their families to feel the same.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate children from ages 3-18 (typical ages 3-8)
- Meet with parents for progress sessions
- Provide one-on-one treatment
- Communicate with other practitioners in the patient's care team
- Assist caregivers with the development and implementation of a home-based program
- Document each session properly
- Be a positive member of the center community
- Be punctual and responsible
Qualifications
- Commitment and enthusiasm for helping children and families
- Reliable, efficient, and strong work ethic
- Master's Degree
- Current Speech Language Pathologist license in Florida
- Experience working with children with special needs, e.g., autism or developmental delays, is preferred
- Professional interaction skills with children, families, and colleagues
- Collaborative team member
- Ability to work independently and seek assistance when needed
- Strong attention to detail for data collection
- Organized, flexible, and open to constructive feedback
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Record of success in previous positions, evidenced by excellent references
- Comfortable using technology
Compensation and Benefits
- $40-50/hr per diem for treatment, depending on credentials and experience
- Part-time position (10-20 hours/week), mostly during the day
- Flexibility for those with family obligations
