Baptist Health Breast Imaging, where compassionate care meets advanced imaging and high-level cancer detection. Our Breast Center is led by dedicated breast radiologists with highly skilled mammographers, breast care nurses, and an entire support staff dedicated to early cancer detection. We offer screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, diagnostic breast ultrasound, and a variety of breast biopsies. We pride ourselves on accessibility and provide services throughout the community, including surrounding areas. Our team works closely with other departments such as surgery and oncology to provide the best care for all patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provides health care services applying X-ray energy and/or sonic energy to assist in screening or diagnosis of breast disease.
- Performs breast imaging, assists with biopsy procedures, bone densitometry, computer processing, and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
- Recognizes various patient conditions to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.
Requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in radiologic technology.
- Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry.
- Current Post-primary Registry in Mammography (M) or eligible to obtain advanced registry within one (1) year of hire date.
- Current Post-primary Registry in Breast Sonography (BS) or eligible to obtain advanced registry within one (1) year of hire date or completed department training.
- Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
- Current Advanced ARRT Registry Required in Breast Sonography or eligible to obtain advanced registry within one (1) year of onsite training.
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
- Mammography experience preferred.
