Responsibilities
As our Surgical Tech, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you. The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.
- Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization
- Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you’ll be supporting
- Adapt to the needs of emergency situations
- Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education for Staff Job Levels: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
Required Licensure and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail. Experience with varied high tech surgical equipment.
PREFERRED Qualifications: One year perioperative services experience preferred
