Location: Colorado Joint Replacement, 2535 S. Downing, Denver, CO
The role you’ll contribute:
Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. Follow standards of safe radiation practice. Demonstrate leadership abilities and be a role model for other associate technologists. Act as a clinical resource to students, staff technologists, and other hospital personnel. Ensure current standards of practice for the unit.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals. Practice all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
Produce quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
Prepare patients for exams. Provide information and instruction to patients and/or family regarding the procedure and respond to their physical and emotional needs.
Assist the patient during exams and position the patient.
Observe patients and equipment during procedures and report/document unusual occurrences and record the patient’s condition.
Qualifications:
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Registered Technologist, Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT)
Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
Bone Density certification preferred within 6 months of hire, if applicable to entity.
