This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Basic Requirements:
- English Language Proficiency.
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States.
Preferred Experience:
- VHA experience preferred, 2-4 years.
- Employee Occupational Health, 1-3 years.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing Employee Occupational Health and Wellness (EOHW) services, such as immunizations, surveillance, wellness, and employee injuries.
- Providing clinical care to employees and volunteers for work-related illness/injury.
- Collaboration with EOHW providers, Urgent Care, Human Resources, and other local resources.
- Responsible for pre-employment screening, incumbent annual health evaluation, and maintenance of employee health records.
- Providing expert consultation to supervisors and employees regarding Occupational Health programs.
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate lifting (15-44 lbs); Light carrying (under 15 lbs).
- Walking (8 hours); Standing (8 hours).
- Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of colors.
- Emotional/mental stability under stress.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:30am- 4pm
