Lead Diet Aid
RiverWoods Exeter is currently seeking Full Time Lead Diet Aid to join our fun, creative, and talented culinary services team while providing excellent customer service to our residents. Hours for this role would be primarily 10:30am-7pm with schedule options for Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday.

Responsibilities:
- Assist Dining Services Manager orienting and training new employees through a system and process that is implemented and used consistently.
- Maintain with Dining Room Manager a recognition and reward process to foster high employee satisfaction and retention.
- Assist Dining Room Manager with delivery of timely performance reviews and that they are completed in a meaningful manner fully utilizing RiverWoods’ performance management system.
- Practice First-in-First-Out (FIFO) inventory management and control procedures as well as keeping specific stocks and pars in place for nursing supplies and supplements.
- Ensure all proper records are updated and kept including; guest meals, nursing restocks, dish machine temperature logs.
- Update and maintain GeriMenu resident database and ticket printing. Assist with input of special menus as needed.
- Plan and conduct effective daily pre-meal meetings with diet aides and culinary team prior to service meal periods.
- Ensure the professional standard for appearance of all personnel at all times (uniform, personal hygiene, and appearance).
- Ensure residents’ diet orders and preferences are carefully followed and executed.
- Be engaged in theme meal and special event planning with nursing, activities, and Culinary Operations Manager. Coordinate and execute these events as a cohesive, collaborative team.
- Be present, active, and engaged with residents and diet aides during dining meal times to assure the highest food quality and service execution occurs in all dining locations.
- Encourage and collect resident feedback relative to food and service quality. Communicate recommendations to Culinary Operations Manager, Dining Room Manager, and Director of Nursing to improve areas of service and culinary execution.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1-2 years equivalent and relevant experience in senior services and/or health care dining supervisory role.
