Job Summary:
The Department of Computer Science at Judson University invites applications for a full-time faculty position, at the Assistant or Associate professor level. The position would begin in January 2025 or August 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for undergraduate and graduate-level instruction and contribute to the department’s academic mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver curriculum in Computer Science, ensuring a high standard of pedagogical effectiveness.
- Engage in service roles, including student mentorship, participation in departmental committees, and maintaining scheduled office hours for student consultation.
- Advance the integration of faith and learning within a Christian liberal arts framework, demonstrating a living and active Christian faith.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a closely related field of information technology.
- Strong collaborative abilities for working with faculty within the department and across campus.
- Proficient with industry-standard technologies, including GIT, Linux, C, Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Demonstrate an active and growing Christian faith.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a Christ-centered educational environment.
- Proven ability to design and integrate academic content into digital learning platforms such as eLearn/Moodle.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Certification in online course design or instructional technology.
- Active membership in relevant professional associations.
- Aptitude for coaching peers in professional development and skills enhancement.
