Overview
The Radiology Technologist operates x-ray equipment as designated for the Radiology Department. Selects proper exposure factors and demonstrates through knowledge of radiographic positioning. Practices radiological technology in a manner that ensures radiation safety for self and the patient.
Responsibilities
Performs diagnostic and invasive procedures on Cardiac/Interventional platforms. Demonstrates competency and proficiency with x-ray equipment in various locations such as Cath Lab/Interventional Labs.
Qualifications
Experience necessary for satisfactory performance. Licensed by the State of California in Radiology and Fluoroscopy. Certified by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists preferred. Current Basis Life Support Level C Certificate. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT CVI certified preferred. At least three year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, or previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab, required. Current ACLS and BCLS required (AHA). Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Certified within 6 months of hire.
