Perform designated routine tasks related to the operation of the physical therapy service and may assist with specific patient-related activities
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapists/Physical Therapist Assistant in treating patients.
- Assist patient(s) in the safe practice of activities related to the development of strength and endurance.
- Check equipment for proper functioning and appropriate location.
- Follow established procedures pertaining to the care of equipment and supplies.
- Prepare, maintain and clean-up work stations, treatment areas and the gym; including but not limited to sanitization of equipment/tables and folding laundry.
- Maintain other supportive areas.
- Order supplies as directed within the budget; stock and inventory as needed.
- Copy materials as appropriate; file notes in charts; record treatment in charts; process, handle, file other types of documentation.
- Create work orders when equipment is not working appropriately.
- Correspond with vendors, physician’s staff, and therapist when coordinating modalities and/or equipment to meet the patient’s need.
- Apply modalities as directed by the therapist as allowed by that state’s practice act.
Experience: None required.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

- Must maintain BLS certification.
