Position
As a Laboratory Toxicology Junior Supervisor, you will assist the Toxicology Supervisor in our mission to provide precise and prompt lab results while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and modifying Standard Operating Procedures for validations and clinical testing.
- Help oversee LC/MS and Mass Spectrometry instruments.
- Step in as Acting Supervisor when the Supervisor is on PTO.
- Assist in interpreting data and generating patient result reports.
- Help manage Quality Control Runs and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure laboratory safety compliance and instrument standards.
- Provide training and guidance to new employees.
- Conduct risk assessments and report findings.
- Assist in advising on the safe handling of toxic substances.
- Aid in laboratory inspections and maintain standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree or higher in chemistry, biology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years documented experience in clinical lab toxicology.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a methodical approach to work.
- Proficiency in collecting and analyzing large volumes of experimental data.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong work management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and deliver test results promptly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Schedule: Swing Shift - Flexible Hours, likely Tuesday to Saturday, and will move to a Wednesday to Sunday schedule in the future.
Background Check Requirement:
A background check is required for this position. Continued employment is dependent on the outcome of the background check.
