Hillcrest Healthcare, a skilled nursing facility located in Ashland City, TN is seeking a Medical Records Director. The Medical Records Director is a Monday-Friday, 8 hours daily position.

Job Responsibilities:

Skilled ICD-10 coding experience.
Organizes, plans and directs the storage of medical records and computerized medical records (EMR) in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Assists in establishing procedures to be followed in the collection, coding and filing of medical records.
Assembles and files resident charts to prepare them for storage.
Addresses legal related correspondence in a timely manner.
Participates in QAPI.
Maintains knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, disease processes, confidentiality and HIPAA laws.

Qualifications:

Tennessee Licensed Practical Nurse preferred.
Skilled Coding Experience required.
