Summary
The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Michigan Technological University (Michigan Tech) invites applications and nominations for a faculty position at the instructional track, assistant teaching professor level. Michigan Tech BME is searching for outstanding candidates who can add to the existing research and teaching strengths in multiple research areas.

Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate core courses in experimental laboratory techniques, biomaterials, and/or biomechanics, or other BME core courses, as well as help supervise senior design projects.
Conduct research.
Must be willing and able to contribute to Department, University, and external professional service activities.
Integrate safety practices into daily activities and commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work.
Required Education, Certifications, Licensures
Earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or a closely related field.
Required Experience
Teaching experience in experimental laboratory techniques, biomaterials, and/or biomechanics, or other BME core courses.
Desirable Education and/or Experience
We desire applicants with face-to-face and online teaching experience, teaching experience at the graduate level in their area of expertise, and an interest and ability to conduct research.
Teaching at the graduate level in the applicant's area of expertise.
