Job Purpose: The Embryologist position will be responsible for executing IVF laboratory procedures according to established policies and protocols as well as adhering to RMA’s quality assurance program. This position will be required to perform clinical embryology procedures independently and in accordance with RMA’s Laboratory Philosophy, Mission, and Performance Standards.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Responsible for collecting and documenting daily quality control data
- Participates in laboratory operations, procedures, and projects as directed
- Performs daily clinical embryology laboratory services
- Verifies specimen chain of custody during lab procedures
- Assists with general IVF lab duties
- Responsible for maintaining lab supply inventories
Academic Training:
- Bachelor of Science – Biological Science
- ABB Certifications – preferred
Position Requirements/Experience:
- 3 years of relevant experience – preferred
- Senior-Level Embryology experience – preferred
Technical Skills:
- Perform and understand clinical embryology principles and techniques
- Must be able to do all aspects of the lab (VOR, Fert Check, Grading, ICSI, BX, Transfers, Vitrification and Warming)
- Perform and understand principles and techniques of Pre-implantation Genetic Testing (PGT)
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
