Description
Oversees patient safety initiatives, quality improvement programs, and clinical outcomes measurement to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and benchmarks to measure patient services performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders to drive patient-centered care initiatives, improve clinical outcomes, and enhance the overall patient experience for both Spring Hill and Brooksville Hospitals.
- Develops and implements short- and long-term strategic goals and policies for nursing and related areas, contributing to planning and business objectives.
- Directs the design and establishment of management control procedures, including safe patient care, data distribution, and staff selection by controlling resources for effective departmental functioning.
- Advises management on best practices, trends, and forecasts in nursing and healthcare services by aligning recommendations with the hospital's goals and objectives.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory agency standards and maintains professional affiliations by ensuring integrity in all aspects of patient care, records maintenance, and authorization procedures.
- Communicates strategically with top management to align nursing strategies with overall hospital objectives by contributing to top-level decision-making processes.
- Enhances growth through the development of a high-performing nursing team by implementing operational strategies to improve patient care and departmental efficiency.
- Develops strategies for formal and informal staff performance enhancement coaching by ensuring productive usage of resources and adherence to standards.
- Establishes relationships with key stakeholders and aligns nursing strategies with the overall functional strategy for patient services.
- Determines and communicates the most effective use of resources to achieve the hospital's mission, vision, and values by ensuring alignment with the overall functional strategy for patient services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing Required
- Masters Degree in Nursing, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration Preferred
- RN License Issued by Florida or Compact State
Work Experience and Additional Information
- Ten (10) years of nursing experience with five (5) years in a leadership role.
