The Department of Medicine has 11 divisions, more than 300 employees and more than $68 million in expenditures annually. The mission of the Department of Medicine is to deliver accessible, patient-centered healthcare of the highest caliber while training compassionate, visionary and innovative clinicians and researchers. We develop, teach and practice state-of-the-art, evidenced-based medicine that holds the promise of a better future for the people of California and beyond. The attending physician oversees the infectious diseases patient population to assure that the patients are receiving maximum therapy, appropriate drugs, and to evaluate the patients' overall progress. In addition, all interactions with the patient are charted in compliance with CMS standards and all records are completed in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws. The physician must also follow the Department of Medicine's policies and procedures.

Required:
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases.
- Current, unrestricted California Medical License
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases
- Current DEA License
- Current ACLS Certificate
Special Conditions:
- Must remain in good standing with the Department of Medicine, adhering to UC and Departmental policies and procedures.
