San Juan Health is seeking a qualified and experienced radiology manager to lead and manage the daily operations of our radiology department. This position is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and coordination of radiology services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. In addition, this role will require rotational duties as a hands-on radiology technician and participation in on-call duties. As part of our dedicated healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the radiology department, including staff supervision, scheduling, and ensuring optimal staffing levels for efficient and effective radiology services.
- Collaborate with providers, radiologists, and other departments to resolve issues and enhance care delivery.
- Oversee the selection, training, development, and performance management of radiology staff.
- Ensure equipment functionality by managing maintenance schedules and coordinating repairs.
- Act as a liaison between the radiology department and other clinical and ancillary departments within San Juan Health.
- Support the preparation of department budgets and long-term planning, working closely with leadership.
- Participate in rotational duties providing high-quality imaging and share on-call responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Assist with developing and implementing new programs, procedures, and establish and maintain policies to improve departmental performance and patient care.
The incumbent will work across San Juan Health, which includes San Juan Hospital, San Juan Clinic – Monticello, San Juan Clinic – Blanding, and Spanish Valley Clinic as needed. This position requires flexibility and occasional travel between locations.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong radiology experience, including leadership, financial management, and team development.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with physicians, patients, staff, and other departments.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities to drive departmental improvements.
